Each DHE cell advances a focused mission within the national holistic education ecosystem — collaborating across institutions, research, innovation, and community outreach.
The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) Cell aims to make optimal use of and operate the laboratories established in schools through the Atal Innovation Mission of the Government of India. It is committed to fostering innovation and scientific spirit among students.

The ATL Cell is a national cell of the Department of Holistic Education (DHE). DHE is a national educational transformation platform advancing holistic learning, innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and value-based education aligned with NEP 2020.
The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) Cell aims to make optimal use of and operate the laboratories established in schools through the Atal Innovation Mission of the Government of India. It is committed to fostering innovation and scientific spirit among students.
Across Vidya Bharati schools and partner institutions, the ATL Cell carries out this mandate through school coordinators and programs announced on the notice board and events pages.
Guiding focus: Fostering a culture of scientific exploration.. This supports holistic development alongside academic and vocational growth within DHE's national cell network.
Innovation and entrepreneurship are interconnected themes across DHE: Atal Tinkering Labs, Udyam enterprise development, E-Commerce outreach for school products, and industry coordination for skillful education form a linked knowledge area within the cell network.
Students may encounter these themes through school laboratories, startup projects, and skill initiatives when schools participate in programs communicated through official DHE channels.
